Feed the Multitudes is a giant free food festival held annually on the 4th of July. It began in 1990 during a very difficult financial season for our church. God spoke to our Pastor to find people that were hurting worse than we were and bless them. Victory Church responded to that call with Feed the Multitudes. The Lord reminded us that “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Over the years, Feed the Multitudes has become an annual tradition in the city of New Orleans.
Each 4th of July, we provide hot meals, desserts, drinks, and snowballs along with free groceries, haircuts, manicures, and hundreds of pairs of shoes to those in need. It’s a great day that includes fun for the children, gospel music, preaching, prayer, and water baptism.
In Matthew 25:35-36, Jesus said, “For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to me.”
