Shepherding 101 is a dynamic, hands-on training experience designed for emerging leaders, young adults, and anyone sensing a call to pastoral ministry. This course moves beyond theory, giving you practical tools and real-world opportunities to grow as a shepherd of people.
Together, we’ll explore the biblical foundation of pastoral ministry while developing essential skills like hearing God’s voice, building a life of prayer, and confidently preparing and delivering impactful sermons. You’ll also learn how to lead with authenticity through discipleship, life groups, and meaningful relationships.
But this class doesn’t stop in the classroom.
You’ll engage in real ministry moments—hospital visits, praying for the sick, following up with people, and walking alongside others in life’s most important seasons. From weddings and funerals to baptisms and communion, you’ll gain hands-on experience in the sacred responsibilities of pastoral care.
Whether you’re called to full-time ministry or simply want to lead and serve more effectively, Shepherding 101 will equip you with the heart, character, and practical skills needed to care for people the way Jesus did.
This course includes real-life ministry assignments such as:
- Leading a life group
- Preparing and sharing messages
- Making follow-up calls and home visits
- Participating in pastoral care opportunities
